Different SLI Auto with GTX 1060 3GB + GTX 960 2GB

Hi, this is my first post on this forum so please tell me if i'm doing anything wrong, anyways I recently got myself a shiny new GTX 1060 3GB from the prime day sale and my 960 has no use but. I heard of this program that allows two different graphics cards to be working in SLI. And wondering if this combination of cards would work. If anyone knows anything about this please tell me, I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything about this.

you cant find them because you can't go SLI with different cards.

 

What I think you could be talking about is DX12 multi-GPU. You need Windows 10 and very DX12 friendly game to benefit from this tech, say Hitman 2018 and Ashes of the Singularity.

 

Dont need the SLI bridge for this btw

The only time I have seen 2 different cards working in tandem is using the other card as a physX card, I dont believe the software would work, but if you get it working I would be very interested to see what performance gains or losses you see

since it doesnt work all the time, I wont call that 'successful'

@Astro5872 The gtx 960 and 1060 are diffrent architecture so I don't think it will work and diffrent vram sizes are unstable so I don't recommend.
