Wich keyboard swichtes do you like/use and why?

Metallus97

Title says it all ;)
Me: Mx-Blue. Love the sound for typing and in general i love the non linar feel.

but I have to admit, I am not the fastest typer on those. Funny is; the fastest I am on those new MachBook switches, but they feel pretty crappy.

I personally game on Cherry blues and love them, but when I type and have work that needs a lot of typing not in a gaming scenario, I have a keyboard with Cherry Brown switches I prefer.

I'm currently using my backup computer which is hooked to a Logitech K280e. And dare I say, I'm probably typing faster and more accurately on this than my G610 Orion Brown. It's probably because of the spacing between the keys.

In terms of switches, I probably will prefer Blues because I like that sharper clicking sound.

I will do something I generally don't that is recommending what I have. But in this case as long as it goes 100% on personal tastes I think is the right thing to do.

I use the razer green in a Black Widow chroma. For me was the best feedback when I was trying them and I cannot be happier with the feeling.

I think also th ebest piece of advice is to don't stick to brands or models when it comes to this. Choose the switches you like the most and go for a budget option out there.

There is TONS of cheap keyboards under 50 bucks with cherry keys that will do the job. Check linus videos they have unlimited ammount of these (hardware cannucks and those has a lot too).

:) Tell what you do in the future.

The Buckling Springs are the ones IBM's printer/keyboard subsidiary (later renamed Lexmark, then, briefly, Maxi-Switch) patented and owned. Eventually, ex-IBM employees bought the machines and the patents to form Unicomp, they basically build and sell the legendary Model M (minus the IBM name, of course) until today even after IBM lost their interest in having their own keyboard business.

See:

(edit: slightly better video)

Unicomps are sold from their website (or per phone):

http://pckeyboard.com/

You should check their configurator.

Cherry Blues for typing or browns for gaming.

Or if you don't give a shit about your friend's ears, like me, use blues all round. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love low-profile keyboards, so scissor switches i guess.

the keyboard on my yoga 13 is my absolute favourite feeling keyboard ever followed closely by the Microsoft modern keyboard (basically a remake of the surface keyboard)

Cherry Browns hands down.Tried Red which is nice but Brown felt a bit better to me. Can't stand the sound of Blue.

I bring my keyboard to work everyday lol so I'm very much a fan of Brown switches.

Good, you're right, but I see a lot of people insisting that Reds/ Speeds/SIlents are best for gaming

Depends on the game. If every ms matters probably speed is the best option. but I like a bit of travel before the klick as well as a click I can feel
