I thought the original case was "Case: Phanteks - Enthoo Primo ATX Full Tower Case  ($239.99 @ Amazon)"?

Woops, you are right. I scrolled up to look what case it was but saw the parts list with the Phanteks @Herman Mcpootis selected.
In that case then yeah you do make a good point, the $240 is a bit excessive especially if it's just for the extra 5.25" front bays.

Eh the case is fine. $110 isn't a lot of money to spend on a case when you're putting an 8700k and 1080ti in it. They're not doing a budget build.

@Ace122840

If you want a bluray reader for your bluray movies then go for it. You really don't need 2 though.
Back when DVDs for games were a thing I had 4 DVD drives in my case so that way I didn't need to swap discs over every time I wanted to play a different game. I thought I was so cool. Now they're all sitting in a box in the cupboard and I just run 1 DVD drive that I haven't even opened in... a year? Take it from me, you don't need more than one optical drive.

Since your motherboard comes with onboard wifi I would just use that for now. If you find that it isn't up to scratch, then you can look in to spending more money on a dedicated card. No point wasting the money straight off if you don't need it. Same thing goes for your sound card, try using the motherboards onboard audio first, and if that isn't good enough then you can look at adding in a sound card. They're not essential parts so you don't need to purchase them before you build.

Hey honestly thanks for the good pointers it does help CSU’s Eagan it’s my first time building so idk why to expect

It's all good.
Better to ask these questions now before you buy instead of after spending all your hard earned cash.

I mean that’s what I’ve been trying to do I was going for an extremely high performance red and black build that’s why

Given the colour theme you may want to look into these cases Phanteks P400 or P400S.

I was also wondering how many volts is the average fan header?

Your motherboard should have fan headers in which you can plug them. If you have more fans than headers you can use splitters.

Old but possibly informative video:

But will two fans on one header overload the header?

Honestly no idea, but I've seen it been done before. I do wonder about fan control though. But just check how many headers you have, there may not be a problem at all.

The mobo I have has 6 headers and I don't wanna deal with water cooling so I'm just getting fans tbh I just want it to work and not overload.

Did you already buy your CPU cooler?
