So I’m kinda worried this is my first build and I’ve put a lot of planning and time into this and I’m honestly scared of breaking something or screwing something up so if anyone can view my build and maybe give me feedback on what I should watch out for that would be amazing thank you so much.

It appears you're spending a lot of money unecessarily on things that you most likely don't need, and you're missing things that you really should have.

  • That's $161.40 just on case fans. You don't need to buy an extra 12 case fans. I'm guessing that was a mistake adding that many case fans? The Enthoo Prime comes with 5 case fans built in already. You probably don't need to buy any case fans separately.
  • You most likely don't need 2 Bluray writers.
  • You should buy a SSD for your operating system.
  • You probably don't need a dedicated sound card. Your motherboard has built in audio panel.
  • You don't need an 850W PSU for an 8700k and single GPU. 850W is more for dual GPUs.
  • $110 is a lot of money for a wifi card. Just grab a <$50 model one instead. For best results use ethernet not wifi.

Trimming some of the fat off what you have picked you can easily save several hundred dollars.

An 8700k and 1080ti are high end parts. What are you planning on using the machine for?

there's just so much overkill with those fans that i'm not even sure what to say, besides the fact that you don't need them. you don't need 2 blu-ray drives either, one is enough. the onboard audio is good enough, no need for a sound card. Get an ssd for a boot drive.

Also I don’t have an option for Ethernet where I live it’s WiFi only which is sad but it’s ok you get used to it and also I don’t have the best signal so I need a really strong card for the distance and bandwidth.

the gaming pro carbon AC already has onboard wifi, so save $100 and just use that.

You won't need any extra cooling, the cpu and gpu itself are not that hot at default settings.

You won't need bluray. there's a thing called USB DRIVE. optical drive is dead man...

if you're really serious in the audio part, get a decent usb soundcard not that soundblaster thing. like this one:

There's a thing called online movies why you want to watch movies with your pc anyway.

Also you can download any installers on the net.

Last time i touch my dvd burner was 5 years ago.

If you really want to read/write Blu Ray or DVD discs I would advise to buy an external reader/writer. In doing so you may also be able to save some bucks on choosing another case.

Lol idek what that is

It's a USB soundcard, got many inputs and ouputs like SLR cables for mic-in.

You seriously need to research things before buying.

I suggest build the minimum and then add more stuff when you are really sure.

Make sure the reader/writer you buy supports 4K Blu Ray though, not all Blu Ray readers/writers are created equally.

Eh the case is fine. $110 isn't a lot of money to spend on a case when you're putting an 8700k and 1080ti in it. They're not doing a budget build.

@Ace122840

If you want a bluray reader for your bluray movies then go for it. You really don't need 2 though.
Back when DVDs for games were a thing I had 4 DVD drives in my case so that way I didn't need to swap discs over every time I wanted to play a different game. I thought I was so cool. Now they're all sitting in a box in the cupboard and I just run 1 DVD drive that I haven't even opened in... a year? Take it from me, you don't need more than one optical drive.

Since your motherboard comes with onboard wifi I would just use that for now. If you find that it isn't up to scratch, then you can look in to spending more money on a dedicated card. No point wasting the money straight off if you don't need it. Same thing goes for your sound card, try using the motherboards onboard audio first, and if that isn't good enough then you can look at adding in a sound card. They're not essential parts so you don't need to purchase them before you build.
