1100$ Build. Would this work great?

Erik4boss

Ok, so I made two builds. One Intel and one AMD. Personally I love Intel but I realized that it is way to expensive. (The parts i plan on using in the Intel many of two of them are discounted).

So here are the two builds:

Intel + Nvidea build (7822 kr) (about 1200$)
corsair-8gb-ddr3-vengeance-pro-red-1600mhz-2x4gb
corsair-cx-600w-bronze-atx12v-2-3-power-supply
gigabyte-ga-h87-d3h-h87-s-1150-atx/
arctic-silver-5-kylpasta-3-5-gram (Cooling pasta)
samsung-dvdr-rw-ram-dl-24x-sata-bulk-black/
fractal-design-define-r4-black/
gigabyte-geforce-gtx-660-oc-2gb-pci-e-dvi-hdmi-dp-
intel-core-i5-4670k-3-4ghz-6mb-s-1150/
wd-blue-3-5-1tb-7200rpm-sata-600-64mb/
kingston-ssdnow-v300-60gb-ssd-7mm-sata-600-mlc/

What to change here?

Amd + Amd (7238 kr) (1100$)
corsair-8gb-ddr3-vengeance-lp-pc3-12800-1600mhz-cl9-2x4gb/
gigabyte-ga-f2a85x-up4-a85x-s-fm2-atx/
amd-a-series-x4-a10-6800k-be-4-1ghz-socket-fm2-box/
samsung-dvdr-rw-ram-dl-24x-sata-bulk-black/
arctic-silver-5-thermalpaste-3-5-gram/ (cooling pasta)
fractal-design-define-r4-black/
asus-radeon-hd7850-directcu-ii-top-v2-2gb-pci-e-dvi-hdmi-dp/
wd-blue-3-5-1tb-7200rpm-sata-600-64mb/
kingston-ssdnow-v300-60gb-ssd-7mm-sata-600-mlc/
ocz-modxstream-pro-600-watt-psu/

What to change here?

I am maybe gonna go with one of these builds and I also want to practice building good bang for the buck builds.

A good bang for buck would be an FX 8350, a AM3+ mobo  and a better GPU,something like an R9 280X.

Or this :

The Intel/NVIDIA one is better, but why not put the AMD Athlon X4 750K and AMD FM2+ motherboard

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

In Italian you say cooling pasta so I would assume it's the same in Norwegian and he's just translating literally.

How is this? You can shave off a bit of money by going for an R9 270, but this is a pretty damn powerful machine.

Backtracking one of the lines of OP's post, which is full of the ends of URLs, I found it was a Swedish retailer called WEBHALLEN.

A norwegian krona is worth 1.5 Swedish kronor. Also Norwegian people make more cash than Swedish. So everything costs more :o

Webhallen is great, but not very very good prices. There is a website called prisjakt.se to see cheapest* prices and I just noticed you can have a wishlist there :o

*lol nothing is cheap in Sweden. 120 gb SSD costs 150 dollars discounted.
