Switch OEM Windows from old Motherboard

Hi guys,

 

I have a new motherboard want to replace with my old one, but my Win10 is OEM version and there are some questions got me confused:

• How can I switch my win10 to my new board? Are the re-activate product key is working (which is the solution I search from Microsoft forum) ?
• What about my old board, it can still be use after I switch my Win10 (I plan to refubish my old board and sell out, and buyer might install a new Windows) 

 

Any help or advice will appreciate !!

You need to be logged in with your M$ Account on the Computer.

OEM license of Windows is not transferable from motherboard, hence the reduced priced.

You'll need to purchase a new license I am afraid.

BTW. The same questions was asked almost every day. I think nobody use search function here.

Anyway, try and see. If it works, great! If it doesn't, then fine, you'll have a watermark on the desktop after a while and some personalization settings will be disabled until the OS is activated.
