Where is the steam protocol stored?

You know the steam protocol which steam uses for shortcuts to games  such as (steam://rungameid:3982) where is the protocol stored on the computer? I was told when steam is installed it puts it somewhere in chromes, filrefox and IE's files

It's likely a registry entry that Windows checks to see how to handle it.

Oh ok do you have any idea where I could find it in the registry I am havin problems with the stream web socket and would like to reset it

Do your Steam shortcuts show up as .url files?

Steam game shortcut will now appear as they should
