So getting ready to buy my new PC and parts for water cooling. Since this is my first time doing a hard line loop, wanted some others opinions to make sure it looks right. I do plan on overclocking the CPU and GPU.

Case - 570x

CPU - i7 8086k (Limitied Edition)

GPU - MSI 1080 Ti Gaming x

MOBO - ASUS Maximus x Hero

EKWB Parts -

GPU Block - EK-FC1080 GTX TI TF6

CPU Block - EK-FB ASUS M9H Monoblock

Reservior - EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM

Radiator - 2x EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple Rad)

Coolant - EK-CryoFuel Blood Red Premix 900 mL

Also ordering 8 compression fittings for the tubes. A T splitter and ball valve for draining the system. Also a bigger res tube with the internal tube with it.

2 rads, 2 blocks, pump/res combo that should be 10 fittings. Don't forget the fittings to attach your drainage tube (probably a male-to-male fitting as well). I also suspect 900 ml of coolant won't be enough, get 2 just in case.

Thank you also, planning on doing "EK-HD PETG Tube 12/16mm 500mm (2pcs)" I was going order 2 or 3 of these, how many do you think i would need.

Also linking a general idea i have for the run, blue star being a vent i can use to help bleed and red star being where the valve will be.

As a rule of thumb for a first timer that isn't completely hopeless skill wise I would recommend getting something along the lines of:

For each run with 1 bend, you will probably get it correct on the first try

For each run with 2 bends, it will probably take 2 tries to get it right.

For each run with 3 bends, it will probably take 3 tries to get it right.

Based on your drawing, you have:

2 short runs with 1 bend (one 500 mm tube)

2 medium/long runs with 2 bends (3/4 500 mm tube)

1 long run with 3 bends (3x 500 mm tube)

I think to be on the safe side, you should order 4 or 5 bags. Any spare can always be used to "perfect" the looks.

My recommendation is that you first try to just bend the really difficult ones (in your case, rad --> GPU, and rad --> reservoir look like the challenging ones). As soon as you get something that "fits" move onto another section no matter how ugly or imperfect it may be. Only when you have a complete loop, then consider using spare tubing to re-try bends that you are not 100% happy with. Otherwise spending too many tubes on a particular bend and not having enough to finish the loop is a real problem you wil likely face.

A top 360 in that case is super hard to do,And depending rad thickness motherboard and ram clearance in that case is tight also.

Yeah, Today i was double checking everything before i order, and realized that 570x acutally only can hold a 240 on the top and 360 in the front

To make it easier on bend get a double sided 90 fittings

this way you can use 2 single bent tubes an join them together with one of these fittings

As you planning to do top feed res get a multiport top from ek it will make it easier to fill and to drain the loop

First couple of bends were rough, but after a couple of tries wasnt that bad

Mandrel and angle kits make this easier,   if you dont want buy angle guides,  you should at least buy a silicone insert to prevent major kinks when  you bent it for your builds

I'm looking to do my first custom loop as hard-tubing as well. How hard was it to set up?

with angle guides i made 4 or 5 bend lines that are clean.

When you make the bend worry less about it being the perfect length at first, and more about placing the bends at the right place so the tube goes where you want, you cut/sand the tube end to jus the right length when you get it bent right, that way you have a little more room for error,

the hardest line in this picture was my return to the 5.25 pump/res combo  that has both d5 in series, the first attempt i got to fit so i knew i could do it with one tube but i re bent the part near the tube res a few to many times and cracked the end when i was sliding the fitting over.   two more tries where i put 90's in just the right spot to leave me short an inch or so ( i have both in and out on QDC so i can remove and clean/replace pumps  fairly easily with out a full system drain)  and on the 4th i trimmed off a 1/2 inch on the whole tube and sanded  maybe an 1/8th inch off more by hand cause such a short cut on acrylic by hand in a nono.  luckily i had spares a few, and  then could use the failed attempts for shorter connections.

yes Hardline is difficult.  i found bending them a lot easier than expected. Only reason i never converted earlier is that a purely aesthetic part of my liquid cooling would be expensive to replace. So make up your mind the first time,  Hardline or not. its an expensive upgrade and long term investment if you treat the equipment properly
