None of them are good.

The Huntkey unit is likely the worst. The Cooler Master is pretty poor. The Seasonic unit might be the least bad, but you should be able to find something more modern and higher quality for nearly the same price.

Things like Corsair CX550 (or Corsair Vengeance 500W in Europe) or EVGA B3 550W. Really depends on what's available in your area.

EVGA B3 550W

That unit is a fire hazard as it has a faulty OPP. When they were testing, they saw sparks within the unit.

Performance (40% of the final score) - yippee, it's scoring time! This is going to go well for EVGA here... this unit gave me so much better performance than I was expecting. Ripple and noise was crazy low, so there will be no deduction there. Voltage regulation averaged near mythic levels, so I'll have to take away half a point there. Efficiency blasted past Bronze and hit Silver instead, so no deduction there. Finally, the unit nailed the whole S&C point so no deduction there, either. This unit manages a very impressive 9.5.

Build Quality (20% of the final score) - no issues found except for the fan, and it has a five year warranty backing it. 10.

Performance (40% of the final score) - it's time to do the scoring stuff. This unit was, just like little brother, much better performing than I expected. Voltage regulation was an excellent 0.53% in the hot box, just a hair short of mythic. Efficiency didn't just meet Bronze, it passed Silver level too. Ripple control was fantastic, with even the 12V rail nearly going below the 10mV mark. Finally, the S&C point is safe from me because this unit cleared that hurdle as well. 9.5.

Build Quality (20% of the final score) - no issues to speak of, except for the fan quality. And because the warranty is decent, I'll be letting it keep the fan point. 10.

"In the end, it may not matter because the 450 B3 has other, more serious problems. It looks like Super Flower made a huge mistake in its design, which poses a major safety risk. We noticed that the over-power protection triggering point is set way too high. Even under normal operating temperatures, one of the primary FETs in our store-bought sample, along with some other components, blew up. Either SF should set its OPP point much lower or use components able to handle higher amperage. We were also disturbed by the fact that, after the primary side shorted out, the PSU's fuse didn't blow. Every time we applied power, we saw sparks. Obviously, that's a fire hazard."

Jonnyguru never did a proper testing for protections.

The issue was also than the Jonnyguru review samples were cherry picked by EVGA, while the Tomshardware samples were store bought. There was a thing in the tech news section last year.

Sadly it seems the JG has received cherry-picked units multiple times, so you gotta hope the other private reviews bought their units off a shelf :/

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Pest and cholera, certainly NOT the Seasonic. But the CM MW Lite isn't much better than those. And 700W you don't need.

Only if overloaded.

If there is nothing else, its not the worst choice. At least its way better than any group regulated shit.

The Only Problem is that the Overload Protection is set too high - wich should be easy to fix, if you want to...

I would take the Seasonic

Seasonic

For what reason exactly?!

And why do you people recommend a PSU that's on the Market for at least 8 Years, revs the fan up to 2000rpm and doesn't even have OCP on any rail - not even +5V or 3,3V.

In short: Its not a good unit today, its rather bad and must not be recommended!

The Cooler Master is IMO a bit better but still in the "rater not buy" category due to its group regulated nature.

21 hours ago, ZeouLs said:

no it's worse than the seasonic

No, its not.

Its not as loud under full load.

It has WORKING Protection on the rails.

Ergo: Superior to the Seasonic because lacking protection due to money saving.

You guys seem to be blinded by the Capacitors (again)...

What good do Capacitors do if the rest is shit?!

Jonnyguru doesn't do overload testing so they couldn't find the issue.

And IMO overload testing is the most important thing to test because that is the area where you can see the most differences.

And, as you see, there are still some products from reputable brands that don't have correcly set protections in place and explode when used outside the specification...

Condolences.

No, you should not use that old thing with modern components because that's not what its made for. Its made for 8 Year old Standard Components, back in 2010.

Sadly there are still people recommending this Oldtimer...
