What to do with old 360 Slim

I have yet another question for what to do with some of my old tech. I have a 360 slim (gears of war edition) that i've been using as a dvd player, and almost nothing else. Is there anything cool I can do with it? I have a blank 360 hard drive laying around, for if i wanna do something cool. Please let me know if you have any cool ideas. I've looked at all the websites sayong "sell it, donate, turn into media play, etc..."

is there a specific tutorial on how to do so? I know what a hometheater pc is, but I dont even know where to start on building one from an xbox

I cant seem to find a good guide on how to do so. I have a budget to buy parts if i need, but everything i am looking at says you cant do that

Play other Games with it like Gears of War, Nier (expensive!), Lolipop Chainsaw, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssee and a couple of other great games.

Turning it into an HTPC wouldn't allow you to play 360 games, it would just be a PC.

I have seen a video where a guy turns one into a virtual console.

for your xbox 360 games u can play almost all of them on xbox one

I think modern vintage gamer jailbroke it or hacked it. 

If @JZStudios didn’t link the video, it might be a good search if he did the 360. 

 

Personally i Just watch Netflix & play halo on it. I don’t need an Xbox one & MCC to play halo 1-3, ODST & reach. There are no other halo games. AT ALL....

 

edit the 360 is one of the greatest game consoles of all time as it has like a bajillion games. You can get tomb raider 2013, GTAV, halo 1, halo 3, halo reach, fallout 3 & NV, borderlands,  gears, Metro 2033, Metro last light, rainbow six Vegas 2, space marine & sooooo much more. 2006-2014 games were coming out.

And there is a Netflix App for the 360 as well. Though you might need a M$ Account for that...

The other Way would be to use the Browser. I think the 360 already had one.

Yes it was the best Console M$ did so far and is (except for the Hardware) superior to the One as it has some nice exclusives.

 

But I have to disagree with the games you've listed as they are all available on PC and also look way better there...

 

There is a bunch of more interesting stuff on the 360 like Nier, Asura's Wrath, Lolipop Chainsaw, Red Dead Redemption. And to be honest: If a Game is on PS3 and 360, get the 360 version if at all possible/viable.

I wasn’t sure if OP had a PC. they might not be the best examples but there are a ton more games as you mentioned. 

Also you can’t get split screen on PC.
