Upgrading GPU

I'm thinking about upgrading from my GTX 1050 soon that I got from the mining craze due to a fairly low budget. Currently, I'm thinking of getting either an RX 570, 580 (4 or 8gb), GTX 1060 3gb or 6b. I'm not sure what to get because I'm not a huge gamer. I just play SSB4/3/2 and a bunch of other emulated games using Cemu and dolphin. Normally, I would have narrowed my choices down to a 1060 3gb or 6gb, but because my monitor is freesync enabled (1080p, 75hz), I'm not sure what to get. I could get an RX 570 and upgrade my CPU cooler to an AIO and add some rgb, or I could get an RX 580/GTX 1060 6gb and keep my stock (Wraith Spire) CPU cooler as is.

Another thing driving me away from choosing Nvidia GPU's is the fact that the are going to release new GPUs soon. The 960 wasn't supported much after the 1060 came out which would be pretty bad, but AMD keeps a lot of its older GPU's updated with drivers and more!
In all honesty, I'm kinda feeling the RX 580 4gb (about 200$ now) or RX 570 because they're not that expensive anymore, though I can't be too shure what to choose.

get a 6gb 1060.

the more vram the better. even if you dont game at a high resolution , games will just keep adding more and more complex objects so the more vram you can get now the better.

I know the actual gpu is important as well yada yada..... i just couldnt justify 4gb of vram in 2018. back in 2015 it seemed like a lot but times have changed lol.

For the price, it will be the battle between RX 580 4G and 8G. RX 570 gets in the same price range as the 580s while 1060 6gb cost more without Freesync support. I prefer 8G version because emulators' optimization are usually less than ideal, and they could use more VRMA than necessary.

I would tend to agree with this suggestion.

If I was a gamer, I would tend to agree. I'd be stuch between a 580 8gb and a gtx 1060 6gb.

The problem I don't even have a single game on my pc except for the emulated games I mentioned, which tend to run fine on a 1050. About 50-60 fps for most games I've used! It's why I'm stuck between a whole list of gpus.

All right, because of freesync and price, it's not a battle between the 4gb and 8gb RX 580. I've mentioned my use case above so I want to know what you guys would pick. I could save a couple of bucks and go 4gb and get better peripherals (aio/fans) or go 8gb and get like 2 halos rgb rings lol

Edit: I also would like to add that the emulators I play with, I only really play games on em once every couple of weeks probably.

Honestly might just go for 580 4gb. It's like 210$ now which is a great value imo
