fresh install but keep all my games and files

i bought a oem key but i need to do a fresh install of windows to activate it and i already downloaded all my games and everything and would take forever to get all back, how do i do this

you don't need reinstall to activate windows, in settings you can activate windows easly

You can, use phone activation.

If that doesn't work you have no other option.

I'd say though luck buddy, next time I advise you to check your install before downloading it all.

To be honest I lost count of how many times I've been in that pickle myself :P

does a fresh install of windows delete everything on my ssd???? i need to do a fresh install to activate windows but i already have 200gb worth of games on my ssd....

You may activate os without fresh install. Just activate it. Where is a problem?

im buying an oem key that is only activated by using it during installation

If the license is for the currently installed OS, you can just change the key and activate it. AFAIK IME having to activate during installation is tosh.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...

Activated during install means that key isn't legit. It means that it would be taken off BIOS chip rather than you putting it in. You can activate even OEM licenses after OS has been installed if they are legit ones.
