i5 4570.... can it run ddr4?

i have an intel i5 4570 and i was wondering if it would run ddr4 ram? on pcpartpicker it doesnt let me choose ddr4 motherboards for my processor.

no it cannot. it's DDR3 and DDR3L only.

 

production has long seized, so better look for used sticks.

No. It supported ddr3 and the only boards that have an 1150 socket also only support ddr3.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

The weirdest thing I seen a video Linus made I watched last night and he had a 4th Gen gaming build with ddr4.

i7-8700k @5.0GHz w/ 1.30v, Corsair h100iv2, Gigabye Aorus gaming 7, 16GB(8x2) 2666MHz ddr4, Dual RX470's OC'd to 1390mhz(atm) in corssfire - liguid cooled with corsair h60's, 3.25 TB in Samsung SSD's, anidees white crystal cube case

Haswell-E only supports DDR4. Maybe that?

The real question is why you want ddr4 with that cpu? ,, you can buy ddr3 ram at ddr4 speeds, but switching from ddr3 system to ddr4 its like 5-10 fps (if so...) 

I've got a ddr3 build as main build with a 4790k and 16gb ddr3 at 2400 with a 1070 , and can compete with every 6-7-8 gen cpu's , 

the main issue now building pcs its that ddr4 are expensive and the difference between ddr3 and ddr4 its not consumer related (voltage and stability because voltage)

With an 4 gen  build i would be more focused on a good psu or a good mobo (old cpu's are not a problem , cheap old mobos are(and a lot))

im getting a better psu and gpu....... hopefully. sorry im still learning things and just was wondering why i couldnt find it lol
