i screwed up and bought a Free sync monitor not knowing about g sync and free sync. I really like the monitor so i dont wish to return it and i plan on using it as a second monitor for discord. So i figure in the future if i wanted to see what it could do and i have a desire to spend money id put a second graphics card in

discord does not take Freesync or any adaptive sync tech to its advantage. There wont be problems with frame rates bouncing around since there isnt 3D rendering done.

depending on monitor refresh rate sync techs are more or less useful, at high refreshes like 120hz its effect is much smaller than at the low 40 hz range.

having two gpus might get you into some driver nightmare as they dont like each other much,
