Old games wont play

i resently bought a couple of old games for 3$ but when i try to launch i get Cant Find Steam Erorr and it brings me to the steam page. i bought all of these on steam.

Check the steam forums for those games for patches or fixes threads , you may have to copy some DLL files in the folders of those games, or apply some manual / unofficial updates , or run those games in Windows XP compatibility mode etc

• What games are you trying to run?
• What operating system are you using?
• What hardware do you have? CPU/GPU mainly.

• Dues Ex GOTY has a good chance of working if you use the custom launcher available here.
• Just Cause may work is you copy your "Steam.dll" file from
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam - to
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Just Cause
  • and enable XP compatibility mode on the exe

Which Tomb Raider are we speaking of? 1996 or 2013?

Although... re-reading your original post, that "can't find steam" error may mean that you just need to reinstall the steam client. lol
