How to turn off or hide the mobo status readout (red)?

Is there a way to mute the colors or make them disappear completely?  The red numbers/letters that show motherboard status...

 

I've got all the lighting my system one color, except for the bright red readout lights.

Put a piece of duct tape over it. Problem solved.

go to the dollar store, and get a thick black sheet of cardboard or foam sheet, in the craft section, cut it to size and stick with tape on it. If you need it, you can remove it, and when you don't, you can cover it. Maybe you can do a flap thing as well, by putting tape on side on the black cardboard/foam sheet

While we don't know every single motherboard UEFI/BIOS menu option that exists in the world. If nothing nothing is mentioned in the manual of teh motherboard or you don't see a setting in the BIOS/UEFI, then no, you can't.

I'm afraid there isn't. Apparently, you are not the only one who is complaining about the BIOS leds on your Gigabyte motherborard though.

Well I'd hope you didn't, there's a limit to our obsessions

 

I'd assume if you knew of one, it would lead me down a path I hadn't thought of.  I'll re-read the manual, but I didn't see anything in there the first few times.  

 

I guess it's covering up then
