I feel like the one 500gb SSD you have may be a problem. You might want to get an HDD as well. GTA V alone will take up 1/5th of that drive.

seems good but if it was me I would go for say a strix 1080ti not a fan of the Zotac ones they lok cheap but that's my opnion

cpu mobo and memory are a good combo, I have them on basically the same core build but one generation older.

 

970 evo is excellent, I just upgraded to that.  For a year I have ran on 500gb of raid 0 sata drives now I'm at 1tb.  Someone mentioned to go larger but that depends on your usage, I only play a handful of games and found 500gb to be fine, granted I have other computers with spinning drives to backup on and store things so this PC is only for gaming.

Let's be honest lol. They aren't loud. And his m.2 is not enough space if he plays a lot of games. I have 4 inside my case, all separate drives for separate situations. My entire PC is silent.

The cpu cooler comes with pre-applied thermal compound so the tube of compound isn't usually needed.

 

Instead of the M.2 NVMe drive you might consider a 1TB SATA III ssd. In gaming systems the added performance of NVMe is not generally noticeable.

 

If you are going for a quiet system, I'd suggest a Seasonic Focus Plus or Corsair RMx psu. Both of these are quieter than the G3. You might also consider a 650W model. It would be some 230W over the maximum draw calculated by pcpartpicker.

 

I'm having trouble understanding why four 140 mm Pure Wings 2 fans. The cpu cooler occupies two of the five 140 mm mounts in the case and the fans are not suitable for use with radiators. I also wonder why PWM fans are not being used. You might consider sticking with the stock fans. Coupled with the cpu cooler, the system will have six fans which should be more than enough.

 

Windows 10 OEM license does not permit use in DIY builds. One is supposed to get a retail version.
