I was concerned about that when I first saw it (especially their cheesy intro video, with more than a bit of hyperbole about the "gaming" performance), but they have successfully crowd-funded and delivered 3 previous versions of the UDOO device, so I'll grant them some leniency.

Well it's not a fail venture for sure, i've got all the UDOO Boards. It's a real company doing amazing sbc and this one seems absolutely incredible.

They might have previous products - which IS a total benefit to their credibility. But any kickstarter can fail, regardless of who's doing the kickstarter.

 

People need to keep that in mind. There's still a risk (however small) that this will never come to market.

seems like a good low-cost alternative to the NUCs.

 

though is this coming from an unknown start up and seems more and more that these kind of things dont take off. and if they do, not the the price they originally stated. we'll have to see what happens.
