Is Qhd worth it?

I'm currently planning on updating my setup and a part of that will be a new main Display.

We are currently living in 2018 so a 1080p res display seems kinda pointless but I'm not planning on

buying a gtx 1080ti so 4k would probably be overkill as well which means the middle ground would be Qhd.

But does Qhd make sense? Does it make enough of a differents to upgrade from full hd? Should I just get 4k anyway so the display futureproof?

Help please!

1440p is a good balance if you also want to play at high refresh-rates.

Oh yea that's a great point I'm currently playing on 144 hz

For games... not really.

For productivity/desktop usage... hell YES!

You would get a sharper image on the Qhd compared to 1080p, try and find a store near you that has them side by side to see the real comparison. Video reviews arent going to help much. However future proofing yourself seems like a good idea, if you unable to hold high refresh rates at 4k then dial it down to 1440p.
