what is the expectancy of the power watts needed for 1180ti?

i just purchased the 1050watts power supply i regret doing that as i feel its way too much that i dont need so should i try and refund it? my future build would be 1180ti, 5Ghz i7-9700k 32GB RAM 4266Mhz should i try and return it for an 850watts or less? i need it for 1180ti

Probably 550-650watts for the PSU, total system pull should be less than 500 for a single GPU

No reason to return it unless you want to save some money keep in mind you will need to pay a re stocking fee

850W is definitely going to be overkill. 750W would be less overkill.

 

In all honesty, you could probably get by on 550W.

I'm gonna guess the part will need 200W powerwatts, as you call them.

 

The current 1080 Ti can be run on a decent-quality 450W PSU with the vast majority of CPUs, so I see it either remaining as efficient as it is or getting more efficient.

I'd keep it. What if AMD decides to make a graphics card that eats the 1180ti alive for breakfast with 3 times the power draw?
