Need a good mechanical keyboard

Would you recommend the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Browns?

It does looks like a good pick personally speaking.

Hi,

As i mentioned in my Status Update, my mechanical keyboard no longer works.

I haven't been keeping up with new keyboards and stuff although I suspect not many mechanical keyboards have come out recently.

I want a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blues.

Media keys like a volume wheel thing would be nice but not required.

RGB would be nice but not 100% required. A palm rest would be really nice :P.

Budget is 140 GBP or less and I'll be buying off of Amazon UK. I don't care about Macro keys or anything like that.

Thanks much :D.

Edit: For reference, my previous keyboard was a K70 Non RGB that I bought in 2014.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

do you want a full size board, or maybe something like a TKL or a 60% layout?

keep in mind that if you really want the perfect board, you could always build one yourself ;)

Probably full size although maybe 60% layout.

Most of the time I don't use the numpad keys but sometimes i do.

There's a new model? Ugh, I gotta get on with the news:/

Yep, see it now. And want it now as well.

Well I have one more in mind: HyperX Alloy Elite - https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/keyboards/alloy-elite-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-pl

The thing is the last K70 LUX RGB (which I currently use and do think it's a worthy product) no longer has the MX Blues option, you have to settle for either MX Red or MX Brown... to me it was no issue as I do prefer Browns over Blues because of gaming.

There's actually a thread about it in here even:

So if you want MX Blues it has to be with the static color models... sucks I know.

I personally feel that nowadays to us who likes the old fashion full size keyboard without extra macro keys and with good polished looks including media keys it either is the Logitech G810 or the Corsair K70 LUX...

I'm fine with buying a totally different keyboard model. I definitely am sticking with MX Blues and I would like RGB with it :)

So I've tried to find a recent RGB keyboard with MX Blues and it's turning out to be damn near impossible -_-.

Why is that the case? And will I have to switch to MX Reds in order to have RGB?

MX Browns rather... I do really like Browns... they are Blues but bit lighter which as I said is nicer for gaming since we always have spamming moment on keys, I am extremely satisfied with my K70 LUX RGB with these Browns.

MX Blues are starting to become rare truth be told, outside this small tech enthusiast niche of ours really small amount of people actually buys those because of the excessive sound, they are also according to that Corsair article the hardest ones to work with due to the complexity of the switch... so most brands are trying to walk away from them.

Would you recommend the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Browns?

Ok. Unfortunately it's out of Stock atm on Amazon. I'll wait for it to be back in Stock to buy it.

It's a shame about MX Blues + RGB...... I did like Blues :P.

This is RGB and you can get it with blue switches. TKL or full-sizes are available.

Also https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=3541 if you want something more premium.
