Need a Good PSU

Go to solution Solved by printf_cyber,

An "EV3A 550 N1, 550W, 2 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-N1-0550-L1,"

for only $49

OR

if you're into keeping it clean/tidy, then go for a better version that is fully modular but the

"EVGA 550 B3, 80 Plus BRONZE 550W, Fully Modular, EVGA Eco Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply 220-B3-0550-V1",

is for $69

400W? So I'm assuming an overclocked 7820X with an overclocked 1080 Ti? Which means you can definitely afford spending more than $60 on the PSU.

Also a very loud one.

I'm most pleased with the sound levels of the current Corsair TXM line up... maybe the TX550M could work out its also very good priced since it's only semi-modular, not that's much of an issue personally speaking from experience.

The N1 costs about $50 more than it should, it's absolute crap. The B3 costs about $70 too much, it's a bit of a fire hazard.

Lol, you never mentioned price matters, I mean my opinion wasn't for a budget builder.

You want it under $60, go for it, but if you feel like it's not worth it,

This one then: SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151093&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=)

That thing is crap too. It's ancient and loud, and it lacks protections.

He asked for a good PSU, those are not that.

Hi, I’m looking for a good 550W PSU under 60. Do you guy have any recommendations for me? A link to the manufacturers website would be greatly appreciated.

Where do you live, what's available?

How much for 450W Bitfenix Formula?

Oh dear...

Not again a discussion about this PSU...

Why do you keep recommending ancient, group regulated designs that are not suited for modern Computers and should not even thought about??

Group regulated unit will go out of spec with the right load and damage your components. If they don't have protection like the one you recommended here, its really not great and should be avoided at all costs...
