So i bought a new gpu ...

So I bought a Gtx 1050 ti for a reasonable Price of 178€ from Zotac and thought that my current Setup could possibly bottleneck the new gpu ?

 

Sys.-Config.:

ASRock 960GM-VGS3 Fx

AMD Fx 4300 

8 GB DDR3 single slot

Gtx 750 ti gainward

480W Power Supply 

 

Btw. How much can a pc component  be bottlenecked :3 ?

Yes, yes it will be utterly castrated by *that thing you call a CPU*, really go a new system too, Ryzen 2 is pretty good value and the B450 boards or what ever they end up being called will be out soon, along with the 4 core versions.

I had an FX 8370 and it was bottle necking my Asus Strix 1050ti.

 

So yes it is a possibility.

The Problem is the Money ... currently i'm short on it and as you might expect im not a professional 

Would you recommend a fx 6300 or an fx 8350?

 

 

Edited: NVM or might there be an fx that could work with it that would not turn the whole pc into a meme ?

well an 8350 is the better choice, what motherboard do u have it may need a bios upgrade for example.

also bare in mind that if i was seeing bottle necking with an 8370 u will see it with an 8350.

FX CPUs are pretty cheap, but if you have to stay on the platform, I guess the cheapest FX 8xxx CPU you can find will have to do.

Just checked the support for your asrock board and it does not have support for the 8350 according to asrocks support list.

Oh god that board, it's a 3 phase VRM and it doesn't even have heatsinks, I  would melt with an 8 core in it lol

However it does say it *supports* 8 core CPUs, so I guess by supports it means gets so hot it thermally throttles

And it said that it Supports up to 8 cores ... Btw another question .... my pc turns off randomly could it be a defect RAM or a Problem with the power supply ?

I know it sucks

Usually random turn offs are thermal issues such as over heating.

It will bottleneck, however you can mitigate it by trying to overclock the CPU if its possible

Oh common!  I strapped a 960 to my A6 3650 for a few days and it did well.....With a heavy OC  But it still did it! (PS never run an A6 3650 at 3.4 Ghz on stock cooling )

Hmm, could be any number of things, the more I learn the more I suspect it.... might not even be able to the power the GTX 1050ti if it draws anymore power, which it could depending on card

but this worked since 2015 ... but my hdd died so i had to reinstall Windows 10 on an SSD and since than i got those "Problems"

I wouldnt recommend overclocking on a board with just 3 VRMs and no heatsinks unless u want it to go bang.

480watt should be ample unless its a really really cheap bottom of the barrel job.
