My new pc build

So I am planning on ordering my pc parts tonight or tomorrow. This is what I have right now https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/6dyJfH Does anyone see any problems or things I can change?

Also anybody know any good cheap keyboards and mouses for gaming? And the last thing I want to ask is if I can go down to cxm 550w?

Where are you getting Vega 56 at a reasonable price?

Should go for an R5 1600 or R5 2600 IMO, better to have the multi-threaded performance rather than a bit more fps

Why Vega 56 on a 1080p 60hz display?

You don't need to buy windows, you can just get it for free and install it without a key from microsoft's website using their media creation tool.

Buy a case that actually has airflow like the Masterbox 5 Black

Buy a USB DVD drive if you really need one.

Left some room in the budget

Personally I like K processors more as I have feeling about them being a bit more future-proof. On the other hand spending 80$ might not be worthy of getting 8600K.

I am not really sure about optical drive/speaker usefulness at this point in time.

Having a small SSD for OS would be a huge boost for your device (depending on the budget).

Don't really aim for the cheapest peripherals as they can easily ruin the whole experience of gaming.

You could possibly do better when it comes to RAM frequency!

Stock CPU cooler is not really best for gaming!

I am not really sure whether you can't save few bucks on the case or get yourself soundproofed one rather than transparent one as there is literally nothing to be amazed by in your case, except maybe for small led on motherboard and gpu which I think are not really worth it.

no need for a z370 board, get a H310 board and cheaper case and use the money on an ssd.

I disagree with ryzen in this case. Carz clearly aims for one monitor only and said beforehand that he wants computer mainly for gaming. I don't really suppose any real multi-tasking will be bothering him.

Also not having a valid license for OS is really not a good idea..

If he need optical drive why would usb one be better idea?

ASrock products are really not something I would suggest to anyone.

Vega 56 doesnt have a price tag, which means it's unavailable at the moment. It's also poor value, get the 1070ti instead, unless you can buy one somewhere cheaper.

Not sure what that mobo's doing here. 8400 cant overclock so just use a B360 motherboard (H310 is too barebones to me, H370 is too expensive). If you want overclock support in the future, then this board isnt strong enough to handle an overclocked 6 core CPU's power draw.

Lack of SSD is really bad. At least get a 120gb model, or 240gb model

Yes, you can use the CX550M

Why? It works perfectly fine

Because most modern cases don't have a 5.25" drive bay and a USB DVD drive can be more easily moved between machines if needed.

The ASrock Pro 4 is just about the best budget AM4 board. Rocking an X399M right now with a 1950X and it doesn't have any major issues.

Yeah, so did Windows xp until they decided to simply lock some unlicensed devices back in the days. Having illegal OS is simply something you should not suggest anywhere.

That might be a valid argument but usb drive will be noticeable slower unless he wants to spend more cash than necessary.

Overall quality of ASrock products was never of great value.

You literally just go to micrsoft's website, download their own media creation tool, and press the microsoft implemented "I don't have a key" button when installing windows 10, and all you get is some limited customization, and a water mark, microsoft likely made it available just to avoid people pirating windows, as microsoft makes more money the more people use windows 10 due to their data collection/advertising.

Avoid people using windows ISOs/P2P downloads that also included maleware/spyware w/e*

USB 2.0 is not a bottleneck for an optical drive

Your last statement really doesn't make any sense.

1st its on Microsoft site and I know people who have done for years.

USB will be fine for a optical drive.

Yeah, you have unlicensed OS, which is not covered by certain updates, etc. Windows 10 is not freeware, If you want to use it. Buy it.

Regarding the drive you are right. I totally forgot how slow they are. I am not even sure about the max burning speed. was it 16x times 1,.. Mb? Can't really recall now.

My last statement does make sense if you accept that ASrock might simply be budget friendly but with lacking quality. Just a small scour through the internet forums will suggest that and so will my personal experience with it.

No, no trust me, microsoft still forces every update on me, even when I disable the windows update service. I WISH, having not activated windows meant I didn't get updates.

ASrock is a perfectly fine motherboard manufacturer, I can run my 1950X under 100% load all day everyday and not have an issue. The AsRock Pro 4 ran my R7 1700 overclocked without issue as well.

Brand does not matter for motherboards(unless it's biostar or ECS maybe...)

This ASUS board for example isn't recommended, as they didnt put any VRM heatsinks on it.
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nJvZxr/asus-prime-b350m-e-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-b350m-e

MSI is about the only brand for AM4 to not recommend highly, but they seem to have fixed their situation on 400 chipset boards. Just needs a better bios I think.

Would highly suggest an i7 8700 at minimum then.

But you should sell the Vega 56 card and just use a 1050ti for a 1080p 60hz display in the meantime. Should be able to sell it for a ton, and that'll give you money for a better next gen GPU down the line.

Masterbox 5 Black is a fine budget case.
