Can't get new emails on GMAIL

I have a gmail account, I just checked the gmail app, I haven't been getting any emails or I can't view any new emails. The last email that I can see and access is 13th January 2018. I tried sending and receiving a email through that email id, I could only send but not receive. 

The inbox is default inbox and not priority. And it shows that its syncing but it never does. I tried opening my email in an incognito tab but it still shows me old emails. Please help, Thank you.

try on a different device? maybe contact Google support if no one can fix it

I've tried it but it unfortunately doesn't work.
