I own both of those things and they are great imo. 

The 3570k is still the best price-performance CPU for gaming imo as well.

I've yet to hear a good reason to choose a 4670k over a 3570k. Aside from "it's new". They overclock worse. Both sockets are dead. And aside from that, they aren't very different at all. 

According to this article, there is little difference between the two. And the differences are things an enthusiast likely wouldn't care about, aside from the extra SATAIII ports (but many Z77 motherboards have more anyway, mine has 4 for example).

/Sandy Bridge/ is still a worthwhile chip let alone chips generations above it.There hasn't been many things to justify a CPU upgrade. Even Linus and Slick use Sandy bridge in their system.

IM still using my sandy bridge 2500k it is still more than enough for gaming the gap between it and the 4670k is so small you wouldn't even notice unless you don't plan on buying a graphics card

I have that combo and I love it. That CPU is still way up there for the price. The motherboard could have a couple more features but I find it just fine

Definitely still good if you get it at a good price, they're rarely available considerably cheaper than the newer generation though so it usually doesn't make sense to buy it.
