Not really gonna buy it but just wondering would it actually still be worth picking up a 3570k and a asrock extreme4 z77?

I own both of those things and they are great imo.

The 3570k is still the best price-performance CPU for gaming imo as well.

Such as?

I've yet to hear a good reason to choose a 4670k over a 3570k. :| Aside from "it's new". They overclock worse. Both sockets are dead. And aside from that, they aren't very different at all.

According to this article, there is little difference between the two. And the differences are things an enthusiast likely wouldn't care about, aside from the extra SATAIII ports (but many Z77 motherboards have more anyway, mine has 4 for example).

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.

I have that combo and I love it. That CPU is still way up there for the price. The motherboard could have a couple more features but I find it just fine :)

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M
