Are "Gaming" (bucket) chairs worth it?

I really badly need a new chair, and am looking for something pretty high quality around the price of a normal chair. Are bucket chairs like offbrand DxRacers worth their price? Are they comfortable? Are they worth the ~150 dollar price?

You’re better getting an office chair that actually supports your posture if you’re going to be sitting in it for hours at a time.

I've been using a RAIDMAX Drakon DK706 for a little over a month now. And it's definitely worth it (at least for me). I like reclining when I'm watching (and I just watch most of the time). I use a separate ottoman to rest my leg/feet.

HOWEVER, I do have some issues with its build quality. Assembling it is a PITA as there's no way to properly align the parts. I'm pretty sure mine isn't even straight (not sure how to explain this). That's probably where a legit DxRacer will shine over these offbrands ahaha

You don't need bucket seats for sitting stationary at your desk.  It's a gimmick to look "gamer-y".  A standard office chair will do better at lower price.

That is kinda what I thought. Any reccomendations?

At your budget you're not going to see much variation from office chair to office chair (at least I don't think so).  There's some knockoffs of Herman Miller and Steelcase, but they're still several hundred bucks.

I love my knockoff Arozzi chair. its just black fabric in the front with fake carbon fiber maternal on the back. I have used it for a year now I got it from massdrop below 300$.
