Friends new PC

Tea1337

He brought over his system that's brand spanken new, he said "Make it faster, and break it in for me." So with a

Intel® Core™ i7-4960X - I had to search in system prefrences, and a GTX 780 ti.

Just for tonight I just want to burn in the CPU, so I started running Prime95 and it hasn't gone over 78*C, everything is looking good. As for the GPU, what would be the best Program to burn in the GPU? Some way furmark but what is another one that is safe to run over night? Thanks.

Just game on it overnight  B)

But really, benchmarks don't cover all the bases that actual gaming can at times.

Your friend brought that to you but you don't know how to break in a rig?

You didn't just pop the side panel off to see what's inside?

Your friend spent all that money but his PC didn't come with a decent cooler?

All those threads mean nothing when gaming

He's leaving town for 2 days and has no way to break it in over that time.

Yeah it's a $1000 CPU.

Haha, I'll just load up BF4 and begin!

He doesn't have time to, I did pop off the panel to see a full loop cooling system with 3 Rads and a kick ass look.

Full loop with 3 rads but the temps get that high? it better be heavily overclocked or something is broken.

He later sent me a text and said it's at 4.495Ghz, IDK how he did it but he managed to and gave it to me. I think the GPU is also OC'd

That's it? I'm far from an expert on WC loops but that doesn't sound right. @marto what do you think?

I'll take a look at the clocks and temps. Then report back

I feel like an idiot. The pump was running but I didn't realize the fans weren't on, he decided that the fans need to be manually turned on.

How much did that cost? Damn. Those temps are high for a watercooling loop..

Edit : Read post above

I think that will last him a while with a rig like that.
