Process null maxing out cpu usage

so i noticed that my computer was running quite slowly, and after checking task manager there is a process called null maxing out my cpu. i can end the task and everything goes back to normal but after about 5 minutes it comes back.

 

anybody know what to do?

Sounds very much like you've got a virus mining monero or similar. Reformat everything, change your WiFi- and router-passwords, plug any other possible security-holes...

when i try to end it it says this will cause windows to become unstable though and i cant find any problems

Can you right click on the process, open its file location and send screenshots of the directory, pretty curious what this might be.

The svchost is a generic term windows uses for many of its processes. By itself it's not a problem but it's pretty clear you've got something masquerading under it.

Run superantispyware, and malwarebytes and maybe even combofix and see what's what...

i ran malwarebytes and it didnt detect anything
