youtube check mark for videos i've already watched in the past?

Am i the only one constantly asking myself ''have i seen this video already or is it a new one'' wishing Youtube would SHOW ME a green check mark or something

for videos i have already watched in the past?! ...end of rant...have a good night!

have you cleared your youtube history? i think that's what resets your watched count (and progress with pending videos)

You already have the red progress bar at the bottom of the thumbnail. However, youtube seem to not remember many videos that u actually have seen.

I would like this, makes the recommended list a little more useful imho.

Sometimes I'd like to rewatch something, other times .. I'd rather forget it exists

This, though sometimes it's not precise ( think I watched it all but really only just a few seconds)

Unfortunately, I couldn't say. It started happening on it's own at some point. 

 

I have tried it in a clean version of chrome on another computer and a clean version of Firefox and it showed all my previously watched videos without any addons or settings changes. 

 

It didn't however show anything when logged in with Edge. 

 

So I can say with certainty that it's not an addon.
