Just saying I don't mind dubbed however I don't feel that the people working at somewhere like Funimation puts enough effort into the vocal attitude. Like in Bleach the main voice actors are Masakazu Morita and Johnny Yong Bosch. I like both however when Ichigo is using his hollow mask the voice acting for english become the most abundant load of crap.

If anything for Dubbed animes this has to be one of my top favourites which should be watched by all "The Castle of Cagliostro" this manga on my vhs tape was the ultimate funny story.

I hate almost all Japanese animes.

 

Most of the characters are either overly emotional or lack all emotions. Rarely I see a character that has something in the middle, an emotional range that you find in a person in real life.

 

Goddamn it Japan.

Yup. I'd love to get my hands on a digital copy. My VHS player isn't working or rather I don't have one. My dad is still rolling with a CRT that is 16 years old now.

There will be. I have a thing about it. It is kinda sad after 85 chapters of manga it has come to an end. Although its rated higher than One piece with 700-800 manga chapter releases.

My top 6 are Pupa, Mahou Sensou, Nisekoi, Noragami, Space Dandy and of course Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren! : D

Sorry but these are the facts whether you like it or not. A lot of the characters in Japanese animes are either overemotional or have no emotions; that is very unnaturalistic. Sometimes the show has a very good story, but the charachters' personality is just crap.

 

Example from one anime that I watch (Attack on Titan)

 

For the lacking of emotions:

 

1.Mikasa

 

2.Annie

 

3.Levi

 

 

For the overly emotional:

 

1. Eren (most of the time)

 

2.Armin

 

3.Hange

 

 

And these are just the top 3 that came to my mind from Attack on Titan. There are a whole bunch of other charachters in that show that do this crap as well.

 

Sadly this phenomena exist in pretty much every Jap anime out there. I have researched into it before, and it's part of some sort of unreal emotional ranges that the Japanese are overly obsessed about. They got a bunch of names that you might be femiliar to them: Tsudere, Dandere, Yandere, Kuudere (These are the ones that I can remember, but I can't remember which is which)

 

​So basically, they just pick one of these emotional ranges, and they make the character behave that character in that range pretty much all the goddamn time. This emotional range of a potato is very unrealistic and stupid. You would not meet someone in real life who looks gloomy all the time as if his mom just died, or someone who is happy all the time as if he just won a million dollars... but in Jap animies, that shit keeps happening.
