So far I got these things for my rig https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sWGdXP (I will wait until new GPU's are out for 1440p 144hz gaming) Any changes I should consider before buying ram/modo/cooler/cpu?

I'd swap that Thermaltake PSU for a Seasonic one, and go with an NZXT case. That is my personal opinion, and you may follow it or not. Now looking at it, why go Mini ITX? Mind reasoning? +if you go with a small case, choose an NZXT or Corsair liquid cooler for that CPU. Especially in a small form factor case where a tower cooler might not be the best choice.

I want to get parts that will last me for other builds (that is why I got that cooler, do not want my water cooler to snap off during a flight), I travel a lot from US, South america, Russia/Europe, and even if that case is big for an ITX I like how it looks. I might go for a seasonic one but I will ultimately go with a cheap (in discount) good powersupply, that thermaltake one is mainly for the pice (do not care about rgb) if a good one with a good price appears I will go for it.

I know that the corsair rmx line of power supplies have a 10 year warranty so it should last you for other builds. Just be cearfull so that you know it will fit your case. I have a matx version of that phanteks case and my rm750x only fit if i remove the drive cage.

I see. Even though, a hefty tower cooler has a bigger chance of snapping off than a liquid one. Just think about the weight. As far as the form factor, i see. No problems then. I might as well go out and say to not cheap out on the PSU because if it goes down, it can and will take down things with it, like the moterboard, RAM, HDD/SSD, etc. I bought a Seasonic M12II-620W PSU for an i7 2600k, 16gigs of ram, a GTX 760TI, an SSD, an HDD, 2 AIO liquid coolers, and their fans, and crammed everything inside a Focus G form Fractal Design. The PSU costed more than the case. But i don't want something to die because i cheaped out on the most important component.

I understand that, but I am not buying an obscure PSU either. That Thermaltake is a mediocre one, yes. Would I look into nicer ones? yes if the price is right at the time of purchase. The air cooler can always be removed, so no issues there

Seasonic Focus Gold and Focus Plus Gold have excellent pricing at the moment  When selecting a psu remember that it directly affects component lifetimes, system stability, and overclocking potential.

I am quite confused by the thought that a relatively light, roughly 40mm tall aio pump housing has more of a chance of ripping off its mounts than a more than 2.5 lb 163mm tall air tower. The physics alone dictate just the opposite. It will be necessary to brace or remove the Dark Rock Pro 3 before any extensive travel.

The memory modules look to be too tall to fit under the Dark Rock Pro 3.

If you are not buying everything at roughly the same time I would suggest waiting until that is possible. While we may think we have a good handle on new introductions we are as often wrong as right.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Oh, not because of that is why I do not want and IO. I do not want to deal with evaporating coolant over the years, or sudden leaking when I am not in the sates and warranty is limited. I much rather go with as little moving parts as possible. I will have to mod the memory, yes, just bare PCB. The only component I am waiting to come out is the GPU. I have the time to wait. but ryzen 2 doesn't seem that will fare as well in gaming as far as leaked performance data show. But by the time the gpu's are out I will have the proper reviews. Looking into PSU's now.

cancel the order for the M12ii and get a corsair CX or masterwatt instead, the M12 is old as dirt and missing several protections, it's not a good unit.

What protections? Are you kidding me? Even if it is "old and dirt", the fact that it is still around, it means that customers are happy about it, with no further design changes needed. I've had an M12ii for over 6 months in my current build and it runs like a dream. Before i had some corsair, thermaltake, cooler master and evga PSUs and all of them went wrong in under 5 months of my workflow. The seasonic was the only one which passed the 6 month mark and isn't broken down because of shit caps, blown trannies, charred circuits or literally on fire.

the fact that it's still around means that seasonic is so damn lazy that they can't be assed to make an updated unit for their low-end power supplies, nothing more.

so? have you tested for ripple and voltage regulation with specialized equipment? or are you just the typical amazon review spammer who goes "works for 10 seconds must be the best" or "CAME DOA ITEM MUST BE SHIT" the second one unit comes defective?

which means anything, how? all 4 of those companies have sold crap before, and even if you got a decent model from them doesn't mean they're 100% immune to failure. just because your one precious M12ii didn't immediately blow up doesn't excuse it from being ancient.

They were supposed to have released a line of PSUs to replace the old S12ii and M12ii last year. Honestly not sure what happened to them... I think it was supposed to be the Core lineup?

What protections? Are you kidding me? Even if it is "old and dirt", the fact that it is still around, it means that customers are happy about it, with no further design changes needed. I've had an M12ii for over 6 months in my current build and it runs like a dream. Before i had some corsair, thermaltake, cooler master and evga PSUs and all of them went wrong in under 5 months of my workflow. The seasonic was the only one which passed the 6 month mark and isn't broken down because of shit caps, blown trannies, charred circuits or literally on fire.

Thanks

no OCP and UVP on the 12v rail.

MIne does have OCP and UVP on the 12v rail. Tested by identifying the individual 12V conductors at the PSU modular interface and using a digital load to overload the 12V rail to 240VA as per IEC 60950-1. And the PSU immediately shut down, not frying itself.

the fact that it's still around means that seasonic is so damn lazy that they can't be assed to make an updated unit for their low-end power supplies, nothing more.

Can't say no about that.

so? have you tested for ripple and voltage regulation with specialized equipment? or are you just the typical amazon review spammer who goes "works for 10 seconds must be the best" or "CAME DOA ITEM MUST BE SHIT" the second one unit comes defective?

which means anything, how? all 4 of those companies have sold crap before, and even if you got a decent model from them doesn't mean they're 100% immune to failure. just because your one precious M12ii didn't immediately blow up doesn't excuse it from being ancient.

I did test these PSU's with "specialised equipment" and as far as ripple frequency goes, the newer Corsair CX or the Seasonic FOCUS have better ripple, but not by a whole lot. Voltage regulation, yeah. Of course. With my favourite D&V Electronics VRT-10 from the laboratories at Tokyo University, from which I am an alumni.

Of course, all companies have sold crap before, but I found the jackpot in this unit from Seasonic which is better built than others. Yeah, OK, it is ancient, but so is earth and nobody complains about it kappa. And to make one thing clear, I am no fanboy of either Seasonic, Corsair, EVGA, etc. I just take what is best withing a price range. And one thing I despise about it is the cables. Man they're bad. But easy to mod. Very easy infact. Especially the 24-pin T H I C C cable. No flat here. srsly Seasonic? smh.

Well, it isn't rated for such according to the SeaSonic website. Your unit must be a special one.

The problem is the price. I'd recommend it if it was $15-20 and you needed a quick fix. But it's usually priced above the DC-DC modern CX450/CX450M. Might as well. That's the problem with the M12II. Everyone recommends it because it's oftened fanboyed and "SafeSonic", but there are so many other options for the price. Even the Corsair VS has a higher end protection chip.
