Do I need the browser extensions for NordVPN if I have the destop app already?

Hey, I just got NordVPN and, I was curious if I needed the browser extensions when I already have the desktop app.

 

Also, since I'm new to VPNs, is there anything I should tweak in the settings or is everything configured already?

Nope. Works fine like that. You can also test it by opening a "whatismyip" page in the browser.

you can also check your webrtc leakage and such there are a few good sites if you google. there can always be issues on your system that can affect a vpn if your not sure run a test. to make sure. also setup binding with your client if it supports it so if your vpn drops your traffic drops to zero. if you want to you can kill app to from within your vpn client.

 

I myself switched from PIA to nord a few years ago and never been happier.

As per the researcher's testing, NordVPN doesn't have the WebRTC issue.
