Use a cleaning kit if you want, but at least flush the radiators first. A couple of rinses with (hot) tap water and a couple of shakes should get (most of) the dirt out. A final rinse or two with distilled water and you should be good to go.

You can probably clean those threads a bit better manually.

so I finally started collecting everything and I got the radiator in today but it looks like the inside has a hint of rust in it. I just opened it and it was like that. any clues of what I should do?

That's not rust it's just how copper and brass oxidizes or discolors, you can etch it using a vinegar solution to try and clean it the best you can but as long as it's superficial it's nothing to worry about.

Copper/brass should not rust. Looks like just oxidation to me.

hey what's a good ratio to use of vinegar to distilled water?

I usually do a 50/50 mix, you can use regular tap water for the rinsing and cleaning process, just be sure at the end to do a few final rinses with distilled to remove any minerals from the tap water. Also after using the vinegar solution it's not a bad idea to rinse with a baking soda wash to ensure everything is neutralized, or to do a lot of flushing and rinsing.

Hey, I myself am planning to do some cleaning of my system in the future, so I'm a bit curious about the vinegar solution. What kind of vinegar would you recommend specifically? Afaik normal vinegar has about 5% acetic acid concentration, but some do upto 20% - or does it really even matter?

White vinegar if you decide to go that route. I personally use either an actual solution designed for it... or in extreme cases I have used a few drops of dawn. I will say this, if you make sure to get all the dawn flushed out it will clean like no other.

Also back in the old days when everyone was using distilled.. they would also put a drop of dawn in the loop to break the surface tension.

As said regular white vinegar is good we're just trying to lightly etch the surface, you can more concentrated stuff or even phosphoric acid. For vingear you can leave it in for a few mins with shaking to agitate the solution, just don't leave it for extended periods of time and be sure to rinse right away.

Send it back as fast as you can. That stuff creates nothing but problems.

Personally i'd go for something like pastel instead due to the large number of problems what are occurring with their fluid. If your really want a pearlescent fluid I would suggest to keep an eye out for Mayhems Aurora 3 which should improve on long term use.

okay lol I just got it in the mail today I'm waiting for primochill to respond about the return and okay I will look into I usually never turn off my computer now and I'm running a 5820k at 4.4ghz but I have pushed it to 4.7ghz but it had bad thermals so I brought it back. I need a fluid that can withstand the constant heat and running 24/7

Clear fluids would be best for that kind of application, EKWB's Cryofuel or Mayhems X1 both work well. Pastel also works pretty well in my experience long term with proper prep.

Does it have to be clear or could it be EKWB's blood red cryofuel?

do you think it would be okay if I ran just distilled water in my loop intill I get the ek cryofuel?

With just distilled water not for long but it will be alright for the short term. I probably wouldn't push past 3 weeks if it's just distilled, at least for me personally.
