Why doesn't LMG has an android/ios app??

Why doesn't LMG has its own android/ios app?? What is the problem in having an app when there is such a huge community here??

this gets asked all the time, and i want to know; why? what benefit do you think you would get out of an app that isn't already available on the mobile site?

the main reason i see people claiming is push notifications, but it's not worth the time and effort to create an app for that one single purpose.

Only thing app would provide would be bit better notifications. Most mobile browsers can already do pretty reliable push notifs, so need for app is minimal. There wouldn't be any realistic gain for performance and such.

I haven't ever got a push notification from chrome on my phone. Also this would mean having the browser run in the background constantly, draining battery.

Thats interesting thought. Why do you think FB is one of the apps draining most of the battery? Every app running on background and probes for pings drains battery. App for LTT forums would need to ping forums to get notification info. Ofc it could be set to do it with longer periods than FB. But that kinda beats the point, right? Anyway, I get notfs just fine on Firefox when its running background. It uses less battery than FB, so thats already win. On the other hand I don't need to check any social media so often. Few times a day is quite enough.

I don't think facebook uses too much battery, at least not on my phone. Only when I am using the app itself. I've set my phone to close all background applications except for Snapchat and Gmail, so maybe that's why facebook doesn't use battery too much. I use firefox, but as far as I can remember, it hasn't sent any notifications. An app for the LTT forums would surely be nice, but if there aren't resources to make one and the mobile site works fine, I don't see any problem. Notifications would only distract anyways. My point was that a separate application might work better on behalf of notifications than a browser.
