Games for the Wife

Tsuki

So, my wife is not a gamer.  she says that she has played a little bit of Skyrim and WoW in the past, but she is still far from being a gamer.

She does enjoy some Visual Novels on her phone but I would love for her to try some "real games" and a wider variety.  Possibly even stream her doing it (could be entertaining).

I mentioned the idea to her and she seems pretty excited about it. But I need more ideas for game for her to try!

My list so far:

Portal
Doki Doki Literature Club
Bastion

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Bioshock
Celeste
Skyrim
Witcher 3
Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy
Limbo

Any other ideas? preferably available on PC.

How do Reavers clean their spears?

|Specs in profile|

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

The Sims. Any Sims. My mother loves to play the Sims like my sister does, and my aunt does, and how my cousins likes too. Hello Neighbor too. If you are going to download it, check the Alphas which are free.

Dwarf Fortress may be a good idea, i think she'd get bored of Civ pretty quick though sadly

Why not just go in with Aurora 4X? Haha (search mandalore gaming aurora 4X on YouTube for a full analysis of the game)

I like your main list. Why not get back into WoW? If it’s expensive I understand but it’s soooo much fun if you can pay for it. Otherwise borderlands is pretty fun.

Dying light,

Gears of war (on pc and Xbox)

Total war,

dawn of war dark crusade

mass effect trilogy

fallout 1, 2, New Vegas, maybe 3.

Doom 1993 with brutal doom mod.

Happy wheels (just kidding)

Arma if you find a clan that mods and does operations. (Make sure they’re not too serious or you’ll lay prone for 3 hours and get denied permission to shoot.)

garry’s mod and roblux seem like bad suggestions but I’ll note them.

Trine 1, 2
Orcs Must Die 1, 2

Both can be very casual to intense and can be played co-op (Trine supports local co-op as well)

Finally got PS4 Pro

In my experience, most female non gamers prefer story driven games, so try that. Since she has experience with RPG, how about something like FF series? Or maybe Mass Effect/Dragon Age?

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Any of the Uncharted series are pretty good with the story aspect.
