So I have been looking around but couldn't really find something that fitted my needs. If you find one feel free to hit me up!

 

The requested features:

- chipset to support oc on my Ryzen 7 1700

- good MOSFET cooling, as the system will be used as a server and will be online 24/7

- support for ECC (unbuffered) memory

- a way to reflash the BIOS/use a secondary BIOS in case it decides to kill itself (yes, i have had that problem on the Asus X370 Pro :c)

- min. 6 sata 3 ports

- min 2 PCIe x16 slots

- min 4 DIMM slots

I assume your looking at an ATX board. You are also going to want to go with x370 for good mosfet cooling, reliability, and ecc memory support. Also assuming that you don't really care about looks since this is a server build

Yeah. But only if you can afford it. I think they go for like $320 Aud. They will have great performance and reliability

It does, every AMD chipset supports ECC, but is must be supported in the BIOS too. Asus lists the CH6 as supporting ECC.

huh oh srry, i was using the filters, when i selected ecc support it showed me 6 boards in which that one wasn't in there. my bad

yes. All ryzen mobos have ecc support. You just have to use the right memory sticks

Exactly what I was looking for, I was looking at the K5 before, which stated that it *doens't* run ECC memory in ECC mode

But the K7 does explicitly run it in ECC mode

 

And as far as I'm concerned the BIOS flashback/dual BIOS feature is only on the expensivee Asus boards (200€+) or on the Gigabyte boards

It's probably because it didn't support ECC at launch, no worries lad

this board should have dual bios aswell tho

yep, it states that feature on the specifiaction page on the gigabyte website
