What gpu do you have? A nvidia 10xx gpu will work, but idk if the drivers are offically out now.

The nvidia drivers supporting 4k Netflix were kinda quietly rolled out at the end of last.

I have a premium Netflix subscription and a high-resolution computer monitor. I'll do most of my watching on my 4K TV from time to time, but sometimes I'd just prefer to watch something grittier like the Punisher in a more private place.

I know about the Intel and Microsoft Edge thing where you need a Kaby Lake CPU and Microsoft Edge to watch Netflix at 4K, but is there anyway around this?

I'm using a Ryzen 5 1600 and I'd like to know if it's a possibility, thanks.

You'll either need a 1050 or higher with at least 3GB VRAM or a Kaby CPU. AMD intends to bring support for Playready 3.0 in early Q2 2018 to Vega and Polaris, if you have one of those.

Please note that HDCP 1.4/2.2 are supported for the purposes of streaming 4K+HDR content. AMD intends to have a production PlayReady 3-capable graphics driver in early Q2.

I'm using a 1070 Ti, so I guess I should be fine.

For those who find this thread through Google:

If you have recently installed Windows 10 on a new system build and have found you cannot play 4K Netflix or 4K in Windows Movies or TV then you might need to install the HEVC Video Extensions from Microsoft in the Microsoft Store. There are two versions: one paid for $.99 and one free. I will link the free one below.
