3X 120mm vs 2x 200mm for this setup ?

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

I think the 2 200mm fans in the front will give you the most volume of air flow and lower DB in noise over 3x 120mm fans IMO.

I am so excited to get my new rig up and going soon, but i have a question.

My brother in law is giving me a set of unopened corsair 3x LL120mm w/lighting node.

i have preordered the Coolermaster h500p Mesh case and it comes with 2x 200mm intakes and 1x 140mm exhaust(back)

Should i replace the 2x 200mm intakes with the 3x ll120mm's?

I want the best airflow.

I also have some extra 140mm's laying around phanteks and noctua's

Setup:

Coolermaster h500p Mesh

I7 8700k delided binned @ 5ghz

Asus strix 1080 TI OC

Noctua NH D15 w/chromax

Corsair LPX 3000mhz 16gb

Evga supernova 750 watt

Windows 10 Pro

Asrock Taichi z370

Thanks

ok i guess i'll just sell the ll120's.

Would you put any fans in the top or is the 140mm exhaust enough ?

I would probably put 1 just before the CPU intake since you are going to use a NH-D15 and have it set at a low static RPM just to ensure you get good, clean fresh air into the CPU.
