Hi!

Everytime I open my phone (with my fingerprint, if it counts something) I get a pop up advertisment. I watched it on google and I tried everything i found except the factory reset option, I will do it but I want to try something else. It isn't a virus, my antivirus doesn't find any virus on my phone. I have a xioami mi a1, so i use stock android 8.0 oreo. Any good idea to try?

Most likely a browser or app making it do that TBH. Try uninstalling/reinstalling apps one at a time

I have a google play account (or God knows it's name, I think you know what I mean). If I uninstall a game I will lose my progress on that game?

Depends on whether it's a google play game or not, with those games IIRC the game data is stored with google. But it's unlikely it's a game maybe, try browsers and such first.

Google play is the name of the google games backup function if you like... google play store is the store where you can get anything from, doesn't have to be google play compatible. When you start a game that is google play compatible, you normally see a little text popup in the game saying "signing in to google play", this is then checking your game data for validity with your account, and if necessary (like if you re-installed), adding your data back onto your device.

For non-google play compatible games, apps etc, they MIGHT be backed up with a different way, but iut's up to the devs whether they do this or not.
