Asus Rog Strix Gtx 1070 for 184$!? Fake or Real. Advices?

I am an Indian resident. I just found an ad in a B2B B2C site called Indiamart.

That ad said Asus Rog Strix 8gigs Gtx 1070 for Rs12,000(184$) while it costs Rs67,000(1027$) in amazon.in.

I came in contact with that dealer saying he is selling it for whole sale prices. Providing me 100% guarantee.

Any advices?IMG-20180303-WA0003.jpg.7d6284140f52ceb0d95c101f02a4f795.jpgIMG-20180303-WA0004.jpg.c3397f0c0f71c60469a8cf2efb142a15.jpgIMG-20180303-WA0006.jpg.7be78d44f5198d2367300aac51096e5c.jpgIMG-20180303-WA0005.thumb.jpg.0e3c80334a41b5ccb3949efc4cc7563b.jpgIMG-20180303-WA0007.jpg.0b835587011f874a5bc0df39ca4909cc.jpgIMG-20180303-WA0005.thumb.jpg.0e3c80334a41b5ccb3949efc4cc7563b.jpgScreenshot_20180303-113041.thumb.png.0aa00c3c6c202d1c6b767039ab4c2eeb.png

sounds like a pile of bullshit, if you can meet up at his place have him test it with benchmarks and stress tests. if not then play safe and avoid it.

Sounds very shady, especially considering how much cards are going for now. More than likely a scam, or not working.

Willing to bet it's a scam, they probably have a false address and burner number.

well if it's too good to be true then it usually is, a legit seller isn't gonna sell his product for 1/10 the price of what they're selling for.

That idiot has sent me both Gtx 1070 and Gtx 1070 ti's pictures.

Probably the ti with a sticker covering it but he forgot the back.

Anyway what good is it by hiding the ti which is a better version

Ti is better.

But with you and him are in different parts of country, I don't think you can go to his spot by spending tons of money on flight to get a $184 card. I'd avoid it.

Wait. Just noticed that you used INR.

I've seen this ad on OLX. I think I have had similar conversation with similar seller. He said the same thing to me. But after hours of conversation, he said the GPU is from Germany or Italy or something. Then I started avoiding him. Then he asks me to create an OLX account using my number and asked me to post some of his ad. Said, he'd give me money if he got any lead from that. Notice the number he uses. It's not from India. The number I talked with a guy used similar number like this. It's probably the same guy that I talked with. He also had like a Sony A 6500 for 30k INR and 6D Mark 2 for 45k. 80D for 30k. Bullshit for sure.

Look at this https://www.olx.in/item/evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-sc-black-edition-gaming-ID1iol77.html#c18fceb04e

Ad from different user ID but had same number as the guy I talked with. He is probably scamming. Don't fall for it.

So sure?

If he had a GTX 1070(s) he could easily sell them for retail pricing or slightly under it.

So unless you can meet up in person and test the card and all that, which is unlikely, it's fake, like the fake GTX 750tis all over ebay.
