I notice that part of it is missing from my connector part it must bean broken for a while now 2-3 months and I just got sick of always plugging in can i buy the connector part at itself and rewire it and do I need any special tools for the wiring or do you have to buy the whole cable leading up to the router and the connector IDK I'm not too familiar with networking.

You can buy connectors on their own and rewire it, but you will need an RJ45 crimping tool. If it's just a one off time, you're likely going to spend a similar amount of money buying a new cable as you would buying the tool and connectors (you generally can't buy just one connector on its own).

You'd need to check what standard the other end of the cable uses and match it. Most cables will use the TIA-568B standard, but they may use TIA-568A, so you'd need to check the order of the cables.

Is there a product that holds your ethernet cable in place so it doesn't come undone in the back of your computer from the ethernet port and getting disconnected from your network basically what's the name of them if it does exist I looked everywhere or I'm not putting the right search terms into google sorry for my bad grammar Thanks Again for your help.

If it keeps coming out, then you probably need a new Ethernet cable, if not, maybe just try taping it in

RJ45 connectors have a built in latch that does this anyway. If the latch is broken or doesn't click in properly, buy a new (and decent quality) cable.

The latch on cheap Ethernet cables/RJ45 connectors tend to break or lose their "click", so it's worth buying decent quality ones.

EDIT: When you plug in the cable, it should have an audible "click" when the latch snaps into place.

The cables should have a little clip at the end that holds it in place.

Ethernet cables have clips that hold them in place. It would be cheaper to get a new cable than to buy a tool that holds your cable in place.

Better to just buy a new cable with a terminal that is not broke. If you have the tool you can put a new RJ-45 Terminal on and it will fix the issue, but I don't expect everyone to have them just laying around like I do :P
