So guys i have a gtx 1060 3gb,i3 6098p 1 hdd 1 8gbDDR4 ram and i am using a Corsair vs550 for PSU.I want to upgrade this PSU cuz from what i've heard its not trustworthy and also its not recommended for gaming. And i found this psu :Corsair RMX 550 80 plus gold. The problem is that in the future i will probably buy a 2nd ram and a new cpu+mobo(i5 8500+H3 series when they come out)and i dont know if 550 watts are going to be enough or not.

So what do you guys think. Are 550 watts going to be enough to handle my system or i should get the RMX 650(which btw is more expensive Thx 550 costs 89$ and the 650 104$)

.

Thank you and sorry for bad english i am from Greece

They overestimate like f***

According to the CM one like a year ago a R7 370 + I5 4460 will take 500W minimum, recommended 584W

The Cooler Master one wildly overestimates plus has monetary incentive to. Don't bother using it.

oh right fair enough you got a good one you can recommend. Also I liked it because at a certain power it suggested an arc reactor to power it

So a 550 watt will do its job fine?(with an i5 8500 and a 2nd ram and current gpu?)

What about pcpartpicker. Is it more accurate?

Yes, but 339W is still more than what a 1060 would use by about 100W.

A CX450M would be fine for your system now, a CX550M would be fine for a 1080Ti.
