Hey community,

So my grandpa passed away and my 88 year old grandma is now alone in the appartment.

Since her laptop is slow, I built her a PC with spare parts.

It has an i5 4590 3.3ghz - 8GB DDR3 1600mhz - Nvidia gt220

What good game, yet extremely simple (does not require much cognitiv nor psychomotor effort) can you guys propose for an 88year old woman whose state is regressing?

peggle or bejeweled are always good options.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Luminosity.

I saw a clip about an elderly individual using Nintendo ds games to help cognitive function.

Solitaire is another good one.

some point and click adventures.

Investigation games.

The sims.

Call of duty.

Minesweeper.

Walking simulators.

Zumba I think it was. You shout balls at balls in a track.

Edit: Zumu not Zumba.

candy crush. that game is so simple, even a 5 year old can play it.

It'll also be simple for her to spend away the op's inhertiance on lollypop hammers and shit though. Fun game for the first 80 levels or so though before it gets extremely frustrating without buying crap addons.

I don't know since every game I play requires intense cognitive effort like Obduction or Riven..

but I can say one thing helpful.

That computer is only 150 bucks away from being VR compatible.

Get a used GTX 970 or something on ebay and you could get her an Oculus or Vive.

Don't scoff at the idea too quickly either.

VR has been wonderful for the disabled, the elderly, etc to let them experience things they can't really do anymore. The folks in the old folks homes seem to love it.

Then you could get them some simple stuff that's just looking at things like nature treks or xing even though it has some easy puzzles just because it's so beautiful and breathtaking.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa passing.

I lost mine last year. I feel you.
