Idea for the ultimate lan rig

guys, what if you built a system in a dual pc case that had a computer capable of gaming and a pfsense router with a network switch in like a 5.25" bay or something.

Imagine it: You roll up to the LAN party. Your friends need that sweet sweet wired connection, rather than running 10 lines to all your buddy's systems, you just run 1 wire to your system, then hook them up to your system's built in router. Sounds pretty dank to me.

Some motherboards have enough NIC+good enough wifi to be used as routers+gaming PC. On their own...

You'd risk a Linus happening to your rig?

I have a HAF XB Evo with a Netgear 8-port switch bolted to the side.

oh good it's not me that's done that, I mean mines a 16 way and posiibly a 24 way one as well, but it's not just me so it's all good. As for this why don't you gte a switch and assign static IPs that way you don't even need a router, and/or buy a router which can act as a DHCP server for you, and stick behind the motherboard tray, sure theres a case with enough space for that easily and wire it out the back wouldn't be too hard to do.

I'm still waiting for them to try and make a laptop as I recon it is easily doable (I just don't have the money to do it :() The hardest part is a battery but I got bored and got a quote for one for about £100-£200 to my response ove I could do it much cheaper, probably.
