I5-7600k to Ryzen 7 1800x

Hey guys! Im wondering if switching to the ryzen 1800x would be an absolute worth the money coming from an i5-7600k? Its paired with my 1080ti FE. I also liked how future proof the motherboards are for future cpus from AMD. I just want opinions. Thanks 

 

I mainly just game but i stream lots of movies and videos !

No you should wait until April for the Ryzen+ refresh for a better product at similar price point.

And buy the lower end 1700 SKU since it can be overclocked to match the 1800X

The lower 65w tdp actually helps out as even decent b350 motherboards can do the trick, realistically speaking your performance will be perfectly comparable to someone rocking the 1800x on a x370.

if its gaming I would honestly go with a 8700k and overclock it, it gets a tonne more FPS in most games (i own a Ryzen, just checked latest benchmarks) especially with a 1080ti
