Dual Shock 4 is fully unlocked for PC (almost)

As you all may have known, Sony stated that the DS4 can work on the PC but no support for rumble, LED configurations and touch pad. InhexSTER, a member of the PS emulator forums have taken the initiative to make all of the features available to PC gamers. To put the hack on your PC is quite simple, his software is essentially a server that detects if a DS4 is connected, emulates that into a 360 controller and viola. As of right now, the client supports all features (LED config, Touchpad so you can game on a couch, etc) except for the speaker and the audio port even over Bluetooth which last time I checked, you STILL need a dongle for the Xbox One controller.

Enough talk, be sure to follow his post on the forums as he will update the hack :)

Sadly on the Xbox side, the latest hack for the Xbox One controller is still in alpha and the modder is not yet confident to release it (I'd say go for it bc InhexSTER's mod came so far bc he had helps) and official drivers are grounded till 2014

Have been using this for 2 weeks now, really cool stuff aye. You can make the led color any color you want to, great to match your setup. Controller feels great for spelunky and dark souls.

nice but as for the X1 controller i dont see the point since it pretty much the same thing compared to the 360, at least on the layout side, same buttons, tigress and sticks if you can or have a 360 controller just stick to it , i only see this beneficial in the future if microsoft stop producing the controllers but since the 360 still has 5 years of official support i dont see this happening before that time reaches

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

pretty cool!

this reminded me that it would be a good time to pick up a cheap used 360 controller as all the console kids are ditching them for "next-gen"

The DS4 needs bluetooth for wireless but can you play wired to your pc, if so how long is the cable? (i dont have bluetooth on my pc).

Is it better than a 360 controller and why?

The controller's ergonomics is purely personal preference. As for connectivity, you can use whatever USB to micro USB cable you want, much like the xbox one controller.
