Vertical Monitor Mount Clamp?

Alright, so I have a dilemma. I wanna mount a 27-inch monitor to place it next to the monitor in the picture. I want to use a C-clamp, but the desk in the picture to the right is too thick at a little over 4". I cannot drill into or damage anything except for that white drawer thing as it is all property of the university. I could make a small shelf to hang off of that wooden backboard and use c-clamp a mount on that. Any suggestions?

Thought about that, problem is that there isn't much space on the floor to maneuver it and I need the ability to move it.

Dual monitor mount ?

The other monitor in the picture is not mounted, it is just chilling on the stand. I want to use a typical mount but there aren't any viable lips or horizontal edges/surfaces to mount it on.
