CM MWE Bronze 650 vs. EVGA 600 B1

I don't know about the MWE one, I've not seen it before. The B1 isn't great though.

Corsair CXM would be a solid choice. It's better than the B1, but I can't say either way with the Cooler Master MWE as I don't know much about it.

Both are good brands and would be more then sufficient.  Whichever one is cheaper today would be my answer.

Brand doesn't really mean anything, neither of them actually makes the PSUs, they just put stickers on them for the most part. Both of those brands have some terrible PSUs available.

The B1 series isn't completely terrible, but it's not good.

I think it was released in late 2017, so it's quite new.

Yeah, that's probably why. I can't say one way or the other with that one, so all I can really do is recommend the CXM (Grey label) as I know they're good quality and are at a similar or lower price point as the two you linked.

For a budget system with a 4-core i5 and a RX 570 4GB, which one would be the best choice out of these?

CM MWE Bronze 650: http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/power-supplies-by-series/mwe-bronze-650/

EVGA 600 B1: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=100-B1-0600-KR.

Neither is great but the CM isn't group regulated, I don't believe, so it's the better one.

Is the Corsair CX available to you?

Brand means nothing. Don't buy PSUs based on brand.

Yes, but only the 650W variant, and it costs $20-30 more or so than these I mentioned. I believe the 750W is available too, but I assume it costs even more.

There are two other units that could be good options (I don't know much about PSUs though):

The Cougar VTE600 and the CM MasterWatt Lite 700.

So the EVGA B1 isn't DC-DC?

Also, do you know any review I should read about this PSU?

CM MWE Bronze 650: http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/power-supplies-by-series/mwe-bronze-650/

EVGA 600 B1: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=100-B1-0600-KR.

The MWE should have DC-DC so its OK.

Fan is somewhat OK and should outlast the PSU itself. So of those two the Cooler Master is the better one.

There is a review below in that thread, http://m.expreview.com/56771.html, it's in an asian language but Google will translate it auto if you have it enabled, I have already read it and it seems the PSU isn't bad at all. Also some comments from that thread say it uses a similar platform to Cougar's LX series and EVGA's B1 series itself, what do you think?

EVGA B1 is crap because Group Regulated.

This Cooler master is independently regulated.

That means that you can't go out of spec with normal load with modern PSU.

That is a design flaw in all group regulated PSU and thus why they should be avoided at all costs!

PS: Expreview is Chinese.

Can be that it was mistakenly detected as Japanes. That's because the Japanese still use chinese characters.

That's good to know. I knew that DC-DC was better than Group Regulated, but I didn't know the latter was that bad.
