New Build

nsinnott

I'm back.

Ok, so now I'm curious. People have such vastly different ideas on how to spend the same amount of money, so I'm interested to see what all of you could build for $830 USD. More cores is better to a certain degree, but a quad core hyper threaded is minimum. And go!

(Don't include storage or PSU in the $830)

In complete honesty, I haven't heard of that case in a while, but if I were to get something like that, I would get the MasterBox Pro RGB, because I personally think it looks better.

*sigh* Figures. Showed as in-stock for the retailer it used for me.

Pricing with my custom retailer list put the cheapest RX 580 in the ~460 USD territory. :P I'm pretty good at forgetting to turn that filter off.

It shows as in stock at OutletPC, but when you go to the website it's actually out of stock. Then Newegg shows it in stock, at almost $700 ?

I know... I was looking a couple weeks ago, and prices seemed at least reasonable... now they're just absurd! I'll probably end up waiting until Volta, because there's no way I can afford this.

The day something with an R5 1600-level of CPU power and 1050Ti-level of GPU power merge onto one chip is the day we're saved.

Hell, it looks like even the lowly 1050Ti is getting pricefucked right now... Like ffs

That'll likely be next gen ryzen APUs with DDR5, or whenever they put HBM2 on the package with all the other chips, like just 2GBs or something

I'll still be waiting. :P

Won't be of much use to me personally, but I imagine my sister would get along just fine with something like that, seeing as she's still on an FX 6300 and RX 460.
